We are looking for an individual researcher consultant to undertake different kinds of qualitative and quantitative researches and surveys.

He/she will be expected to conduct marketing, WASH, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, non-communicable, gender and other health and social science researches.

Essential Functions

Under the guidance of research team, the individual consultant will accomplish the following:

Develop research protocol and get comments from PSI/E research team;

Develop research tools based on the objective;

Submit all relevant materials for local ethical approval;

Translate the tool and modify based on local languages

Lead or co-lead the training of data collection teams and pretest the tool;

Coordinate the data collection, resolve challenges receive daily performance reports of each filed team, and compile the daily reports.

Share the compiled reports to PSI/E research team on weekly basis;

Ensure data collection being undertaken based on protocol and according to ethical requirements and discussion guide;

Record and transcribe all qualitative data collection events, and translate into English

Prepare data entry template using appropriate software;

Follow up data entry, check for consistency and completeness;

Perform data analysis;

Prepare draft report and submit to PSI/E for comments;

Finalize the report based on comments and submit to PSI/E;

Preset the report to PSI/E research team and program staffs

Job Requirements

What are we looking for? The basics

MA/MSc/MPH or above in Health, Statistics, Marketing or other Social Science fields with at least 5 years research experience.

What would get us excited?

Excellent written, verbal and inter-personal communication skills in English and knowledge of other local languages is preferable.

Excellent interpersonal skills and good team spirit.

Ability to follow deadlines, accuracy and attention to detail.
