We are looking for a field supervisor who is responsible for quality data collection, and data management in the assigned study area.

He/she will conduct spot checks, back-checks & review of completed questionnaires; provide onsite technical support to data collectors; arrange study participants for interview; and ensure data quality as well as compliance to ethical procedures during interview. and data management.

Essential Functions

Under close supervision of the quantitative field coordinator/researcher, in close collaboration with the research team you will accomplish the following:

Attain training and pretest organized by PSI/E;

Internalize methods of data collection, and questionnaires;

Assist data collectors to get the right study participant;

Conduct close supervision of data collectors to maintain data quality;

Complete 25% back-check questionnaires; and provide feedback;

Ensure that ethical matters are maintained through the process of data collection;

Review of all completed questionnaires for skip patterns, missing and provide timely feedback;

Properly handle completed questionnaires;

Report to the field coordinator on daily basis;

Facilitate review meeting among the team members address issues every morning starting from the first day of data collection;

Job Requirements

Your background

What are we looking for? The basics

MA/MSc/MPH or BSc/BA in Health, Statistics or other Social Science fields.
Relevance research experience of 1 year for Masters and 4 years for Degree holders.

What would get us excited?

Excellent written, verbal and inter-personal communication skills in English and knowledge of at least more than one local language is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.

Excellent interpersonal skills and good team spirit.

Ability to follow deadlines, accuracy and attention to detail
