We are looking for a field coordinator who is responsible quality for data collection, and data management in the assigned study area. He/she will closely work with the field team, governmental and non-governmental stakeholders for the smooth implementation of the data collection.

The field coordinator's priority assignment will be to ensure optimal use of resources, maintaining of data quality and ethical standards as per the study procedure set by PSI/Ethiopia operational research.

Essential Functions

You will work under the direct supervision of the researcher, in close collaboration with the research team. More specifically, you will:

Attain training and pretest organized by PSI/E;

Internalize methods of data collection, and questionnaires;

Independently communicate with stakeholders and smooth the data collection process;

Lead a team of data collectors & supervisors to the assigned site and ensure quality data collection;

Ensure proper use of resources field staff, and logistics (Vehicle, GPS & Bags etc);

Ensure that the data collection is done as per the protocol;

Ensure that ethical matters are maintained through the process of data collection;

Review quality of completed questionnaires and skip patterns and provide feedback;

Properly handle completed questionnaires;

Regularly report to PSI/E research focal person;

Job Requirements

Your background

What are we looking for? The basics

MA/MSc/MPH in Health, Statistics or other Social Science fields with 4 years of research experience

What would get us excited?

Excellent written, verbal and inter-personal communication skills in English and knowledge of at least more than one local language is preferable.

Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Excellent interpersonal skills and good team spirit.

Ability to follow deadlines, accuracy and attention to detail.
