Platinum Outsourcing and Logistics Electrical Engineer Jobs in Kenya
Major / Primary Responsibilities
Work with data center HLD/LLD/Shop‑drawings (technical proposals, baseline/concept scheme drawings, schedules, electrical load calculations, equipment specifications, BoQ, concept reports, responsibility matrix)
Compile high‑level project costs and advise final design briefs for completion by local consultants
Design experience with capacity to prepare LLD and BoQ
Professional knowledge of electrical materials, specifications, and cost
Support project management (sub‑contractor selection/management, supply chain, procurement, process management, acceptance)
Lead electrical work implementation onsite; manage relationships with customers and consultants
Finalize electrical work SOPs and check subcontractor installation quality
Coordinate teams and manage project implementation plans, catching up on delays

Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Electrical Engineering – non‑negotiable
Professional registration preferred
Design and supervision experience mandatory (local consultant company experience preferred)
Minimum 5 years’
electrical implementation experience (medium to large‑scale projects; data centers/mission critical/industrial preferred)
Minimum 3 large‑scale projects implementation experience (electrical work responsibility)
Complex services coordination
Awareness of industry standards (Uptime Institute, TIA 942, local standards)
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical modelling software
Vendor and consultant management skills
Knowledge of building codes/regulations in Southern Africa; international project experience preferred
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and high quality standards
Ability to manage multiple fast‑paced projects simultaneously
Willingness to travel across Kenya and East Africa region
