Platinum Outsourcing and Logistics Customer Service Exports Jobs in Kenya
Job Summary
Coordinate export bookings, documentation and shipment activities to ensure timely cargo movement, accurate documentation, regulatory compliance and excellent customer service throughout the export process.
Act as the primary liaison between customers, shipping lines, clearing agents, transporters and overseas agents to facilitate smooth export operations.
Key Responsibilities
Handle export bookings and submit Shipping Instructions (SI) to shipping lines within prescribed timelines.
Coordinate cargo collection, customs declarations and clearance activities with clearing agents.
Prepare, verify and submit draft Bills of Lading (B/L) for customer review and approval.
Coordinate shipment arrangements with transporters, clearing agents, shipping lines and overseas agents.
Track export shipments and monitor vessel schedules and cargo status.
Maintain accurate and timely communication with customers throughout the export process.
Respond to customer inquiries and provide regular shipment updates.
Ensure export documentation is complete, accurate and submitted within required timelines.
Monitor compliance with customs, shipping and export regulations.
Maintain shipment files, records and documentation for audit and operational purposes.
Qualifications
Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding, Customs Administration or a related field.
Experience
Minimum two (2) years of experience in export documentation, freight forwarding or customer service within the Clearing and Forwarding industry.
Knowledge
of export documentation processes, Shipping Instructions, Bills of Lading and customs clearance procedures.
Familiarity with shipping line portals, cargo tracking systems and Microsoft Office applications.
