Plan International Project Outcome Harvest Writers Jobs in Nigeria; Conduct a comprehensive outcome harvesting exercise and produce high‑quality written documentation capturing outcomes, lessons learned, sustainability considerations, and contributions of the Education in Emergencies project implemented in Borno State.
Specific Objectives
Identify and document verifiable intended and unintended outcomes (changes in behaviours, practices, relationships, systems, actions, decision‑making).
Gather and synthesise evidence through FGDs, KIIs, observations, programme data, and project reports.
Analyse project contributions, enabling factors, contextual influences, and stakeholder roles.
Document measurable and credible results, achievements, participant experiences, and evidence of change across education access, teaching/learning, retention, protective environments, and community engagement.
Capture lessons learned, promising practices, challenges, sustainability considerations, and influencing actions.
Translate findings into clear, compelling, audience‑appropriate written products.
Develop narratives, case studies, outcome stories, and learning products reflecting voices of children, adolescents, teachers, caregivers, partners, and government stakeholders.
Scope of Work
Participate in inception meetings with Plan International Nigeria, CASFOD, MERL, programme, and communications teams.
Review relevant project documents (proposals, reports, frameworks, monitoring data, communication materials).
Develop outcome harvesting plan (outcome areas, tools, guides, validation process, field schedule).
Conduct FGDs, KIIs, and observations with children, adolescents, teachers, caregivers, school leaders, community structures, government stakeholders, and partners.
Gather and triangulate evidence to substantiate outcomes.
Analyse project contributions, enabling factors, challenges, and contextual influences.
Document achievements, lessons learned, sustainability considerations, and innovations.
Produce outcome stories, success stories, case studies, learning briefs, and participant narratives.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child
protection, informed consent, confidentiality, inclusion, and ethical storytelling standards.
Deliverables
Comprehensive Outcome Harvesting Report with verifiable outcomes, evidence, and significance.
Structured documentation by location (Damboa, Kala Balge, Mobbar LGAs) and thematic components.
Synthesised findings with participant quotes and narrative details.
Outcome evidence matrix/dataset showing statements, sources, actors, and validation status.
Section on lessons learned, promising practices, sustainability, challenges, enabling factors, and influencing actions.
Consolidated narrative portfolio presenting achievements, stakeholder perspectives, and programme impact.
Final outputs in editable formats (clean and tracked‑change versions).
Organised repository of products, notes, evidence references, quotes, and approved narratives.
Format & Quality
Deliverables in Word/Google Docs with clear formatting, headings, and editorial standards.
Evidence‑based, audience‑appropriate, and aligned with Plan International Nigeria’s brand voice.
Ethical, inclusive, and safeguarding‑compliant documentation.
Consultant Qualifications
Advanced degree in relevant field.
5–7 years’ experience in writing, editing, qualitative documentation, storytelling, or knowledge product development.
Demonstrated experience in outcome harvesting, qualitative evaluation, success stories, case studies, and advocacy content.
Strong understanding of youth participation, gender equality, child rights, and humanitarian response.
Proven ability to translate technical programme information into compelling narratives.
Experience with international NGOs, UN agencies, or donor‑funded projects.
Solid understanding of safeguarding, PSHEA, informed consent, confidentiality, and ethical storytelling.
Experience in North‑East Nigeria or similar humanitarian contexts.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Hausa or other local languages an advantage).
