Responsibilities

  • Support and Mentor Service Delivery Partners

    Qualifications

  • Minimum degree qualifications in social science, education, community development or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience managing community development programs with emphasis on OVC programming or HIV and health programming.
  • Two years’ experience in working with USAID-funded programmes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing work plans and budgets.
  • Good community mobilization skills
  • Ability to prioritize work according to importance and deadline while meeting conflicting work demands.
  • Possesses initiative, patience, tact, and able to work with minimum supervision and under pressure
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility in all aspects of working
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of rights based approaches and participatory concepts and practical experience in similar context.
  • Sensitive to issues affecting children and committed to Plan Kenya’s Child Protection Policy
  • Strong documentation and report writing skills
  • Experience of and commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability

  • Well versed in computerised accounting applications.
  • Thorough knowledge of finance processes, systems and principles.

    Plan International NGO Senior Grants Coordinator Jobs Opportunities in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Carry out the compliance reviews and project audits processes of Consortium and Service delivery partners to ensure donor compliance
  • Follow up on accountabilities from sub grantees in a timely manner to necessitate processing of additional funding
  • Reviewing deliverables/milestones in respect of FAAs and issuing the necessary certifications prior to sending additional funds to the grantees
  • Maintain an up-to-date tracker for Grantee expenditures and advances
  • Perform thorough reviews of grantee’s financial reports (liquidation reports) and related supporting documentation and ensuring that only allowable, allocable and reasonable costs are charged to the project
  • Work closely with the Finance team in developing plans/budgets for the financial needs of sub grantees
  • Work collaboratively with the other grants management team members in overseeing sub-grant functions and coordinate preparation of grant agreements, monitoring of grant periods and close out of the sub-grant awards
  • Ensure budgetary controls of grantees and provide technical assistance to recipients, as required by the program
  • Implement policies and procedures around the administration and monitoring of grants, and procedures designed to comply with donor regulations
  • Provide mentoring and training and build financial management capacity of Service delivery partners and Consortium Partners
  • Ensure proper interpretation and application of USAID procedures and regulations by SDPs
  • Provide support in tracking and reporting of financial performance of grants

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s
    degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in Grants Management in a USAID funded NGO/Project.
  • Good understanding of programmes and participatory approaches to development.
  • Knowledge in USAID donor reporting requirements is a requirement
  • High level of integrity, values, ethics and attitudes that align with principles of Plan’s Child Protection Policy

    Plan International NGO Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator Jobs Opportunities in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of Senior M&E Advisor, s/he will offer technical assistance to SDP to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans.
  • Mentor SDP M&E focal persons on data management practices and utilization. This will include championing utilization of CPIMS/OLMIS.
  • Offer technical support on standard reporting tools, data management processes, analysis and interpretation of indicators to implementing partners to meet program requirements.
  • Train SDP on timely and quality reporting requirements, indicator definitions and use of data tools.
  • Support SDP and project staff at County to use data for decision making and maintain trend analysis on Key Performance Indicators.
  • Participate in regular joint support supervision visits with Nilinde team and ensure documentation and implementation of action plans.
  • Coordinate regular data review meetings and involve DCS, SDP and Nilinde project staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate filing of beneficiary records at SDP level.
    Verify SDH data based on set program quality standards.
  • Support SDP in conducting regular data quality assurance, SIMS and implementation of action plans.
  • Management of project data bases in the field office and coordinate transmission of data from SDP to County and Nilinde Central office.
  • Provide support to implementing partners in compiling monthly reports and basic data analysis.
  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender
  • Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant
  • Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or any other related field from a recognized university.
  • At least 3 years practical work experience in monitoring & evaluation.
  • Knowledge of OVC/ DCS data collection tools,
    Working Knowledge of PEPFAR MER OVC data requirements.
  • Computer proficiency in SPSS, Excel, Stata, and Ms Access.
  • Conversant with either SPSS, N*UDIST, SAS, STATA, Arc GIS.
