Empowerment of Vulnerable Girls and Young Women - (1 Position based in Kampala: 2 Years and 6 Months)

  • The Project Coordinator is responsible for the direct implementation of Plan International Uganda Intervention Output
  • Increased access to Quality Early Childhood Care and Development services for 200-300 children aged 0-5 years of girls and young women engaged in commercial sex work.
  • The project Coordinator will have the overall responsibility of co-ordinating with the implementing partnership and will be accountable for the overall project results in line with the project proposal.
  • He/she is responsible for field activities coordination, implementation, reporting and ensuring that all programmatic and financial aspects of the project are up to date in accordance with Plan International systems and procedures.
  • S/he is responsible for all project procurements and coordination of implementing partner's requests. He/she will be responsible for system modifications to plans as necessary, and may contribute to development of additional donor proposals.

    Responsibilities

    Safe and Urban Inclusive Uganda: (1 Position based in Kampala: 4 Years)

  • The Grants and Compliance Officer is responsible for proper management of sub-grants and Contracts Compliance under Safe and inclusive Urban Uganda project as per the donor requirements.
  • S/he will support the Safe and Inclusive Urban Uganda project in the key areas of grants management for the project implementing partners.
  • S/he is responsible for the timely implementation of the systems focused on implementing partner grants and compliance management.
  • The position manages compliance and capacity building for compliance in the project, overall project financial tracking, and modifications where applicable, coordination with in Plan International Uganda Finance / Grants Department and reporting within and to the donor.

    Responsibilities

  • The Engineer primarily responsible to provide technical oversight and supervision and ensure quality assurance to Plan International Uganda's construction works to ensure that they are performed within the policies of Plan International Inc., and the relevant standards, laws and regulations.
  • The incumbent shall provide technical support to all engineering related work to ensure that the processes are followed for quality and timely results.
  • The Engineer will ensure that rigorous systems and controls are in place and are operating effectively to mitigate and minimise financial and operational risks.

    Responsibilities

  • The Country IT Coordinator (CITC) will be responsible for coordinating and providing the necessary IT support for all users by managing the local ICT infrastructure and corporate systems under the direction of the Head of Operations.
  • He/she will assist in implementing the Country Strategic Plan through the use of Information and Communication technology.
  • He/she will manage the Information and Communications Technology (IT) environment and services (including responsibility for information security) within the country under the direction of the Country Director and the Regional IT Manager.
