Plan International Logistics Officer - Fleet & Asset Management Jobs in Kenya;Plan, coordinate, and oversee fleet and asset management services across the Shared Services Centre. Ensure efficient, safe, compliant, and cost‑effective management of vehicles, transport operations, fuel, organizational assets, and related logistics services in line with Plan International policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Management

  • Manage vehicle operations, maintenance, repairs, data records, stock control, and driver supervision.

  • Oversee fuel supply, usage, storage, supplier evaluations, and compliance with tariff regulations.

  • Supervise and assess fleet staff and drivers, manage performance, conduct driving tests, and support recruitment.

    Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate asset records and inventory.

  • Oversee inspections, acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and utilization monitoring.

  • Coordinate asset maintenance, repairs, and preventive schedules.

  • Safeguard assets through audits, verifications, and compliance with policies.

    Compliance & Documentation

  • Manage fleet documentation, supplier payments, vehicle allocation, accident administration, and registrations.

  • Generate reports and ensure compliance with donor and organizational requirements.

    Safeguarding & Inclusion

  • Adhere to Plan International’s Safeguarding, PSEAH, and Gender Equality & Inclusion policies.

  • Ensure staff and associates comply with safeguarding standards.

    Qualifications

    Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Transport & Fleet Management, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Diploma/technical qualification with extensive experience may be considered.

  • Professional certification in Fleet, Transport, Asset Management, or Motor Vehicle Mechanics
    is an advantage.

    Experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience in fleet, transport, logistics, or vehicle management.

  • Experience managing fleets, maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, driver performance, and documentation.

  • Familiarity with fleet systems (FleetWave, TrackPoint, or equivalent).

  • Experience with accidents, insurance claims, repairs, and compliance.

  • Supervisory experience with drivers or logistics staff.

  • Experience in asset lifecycle management, audits, and registers.

    Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of fleet management and vehicle maintenance.

  • Understanding of Kenyan traffic, registration, insurance, and transport regulations.

  • Strong Excel/data analysis skills for fuel, maintenance, and utilization.

  • Knowledge of 4WD vehicles and HF/VHF radio communication.

  • Valid Kenyan driving licence with 4WD experience.

  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

  • Knowledge of donor and organizational asset management requirements.
