Job Description

  • Ensure that the established activities on infrastructure are implemented as planned.
  • Review and recommend the completion of infrastructure projects to effect payment.
  • Execute and facilitate processes that lead to the commencement of infrastructure projects.
  • Document government standard designs, specification and bill of quantities of health post, health centre, schools, VIP latrines, etc. for planning, budgeting, immediate implementation, etc. as deemed necessary.
  • Modify standard designs for according to the site setting as and when necessary for the proper execution of the project.
  • Prepare bill of quantities, specification and bid document for infrastructure development projects.
  • Examines project designs and specifications and estimates quantities of material, manpower and commodities, etc... Necessary to start-up planned construction activities.
  • Monitor and supervise infrastructure undertaking of Sub office and ensure that the works are executed to the standard and as per the contract agreement through frequent visits.
  • Participate in evaluation of infrastructure development projects jointly with stakeholders and partners.
  • Ensure the use of take-of-sheets and verify take-off sheets and payment certificates in consultation with the CO Construction Supervisor.
  • Submit periodic reports for status of construction projects in the Sub-office Manager.
  • Perform any other duties assigned in him as deemed necessary by his immediate supervisor.
  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility.
  • This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware
    of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

    Technical expertise, skills and knowledge

    Essential·

  • BSc Degree in Civil Engineering, in Construction technology and management or related fields

    Experiences

  • A minimum of five years job related experience.

    Desirable·

  • Interest and love to work with children
  • Good command of the English language (both spoken & written)
  • Computer Skills
