Our Client, Brooke East Africa, is an international charity that protects and improves the lives of horses, donkeys, and mules.

The charity works with owners, local vets, farriers, harness makers, animal traders, communities, and policymakers to bring about lasting improvements to the lives of working animals, giving people in the developing world the opportunity to work their way out of poverty.

To support this primary mandate, our client is seeking to recruit open-minded, self-driven, result-oriented individuals of high integrity with passion for working animals to fill the following position; Global Community Development Advisor - HR/GCDA/PKF 01 .

• Reporting to the Senior Manager Community Development, the Global Community Development Advisor will act as a catalyst for change within the organisation; challenging, Inspiring, guiding and building organisational capacity to both strengthen the strategic linkages of the organisation's work to improve equine welfare and the livelihoods of equine owning communities, and affect human behaviour change to promote and sustain equine welfare improvements. The core focus of work comprises sustainable community development, strategic community engagement for behaviour change and mainstreaming gender equality throughout the programme.

Job Requirement

• The ideal candidate will hold both a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Sustainable Development, Social Science, or a related field; and substantial experience in planning and implementing gender-sensitive projects in an international development context.
