  • This collaboration increases effectiveness, both in working in the target countries and in campaigns aimed at influencing the attitudes of politicians and the general public in Europe.
  • In our over 16 years operation in Ethiopia, has focused on projects in five main areas of interest: Education and Social protection, Environment, Livelihood and Agriculture, Water, sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Emergency programs.

  • PIN currently is seeking energetic, disciplined, responsible Female Intern to work under Finance department
  • Communication is at the heart of People in Needs (PINs) mandate and effective communication is an integral part of the strategic management of the organization.

  • This internship is required to strengthen our role in communicating PINs program, campaigns, core messages and enhancing the profile of PIN, donors, stakeholders
    and partners in Ethiopia.

  • The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Communication Manager and with close cooperation with the project teams.

  • The Communications Intern will assist the Communication Manager with the overall coordination of the country programs visibility and communication deliverables.

    Specific duties and responsibilities of Intern (for Communication):

  • Support the production of communication outputs and materials; brochures, leaflets, posters, booklets etc.

  • Prepare frequent schedules for communication and visibility support for programs

  • Assist in the preparation of content for PIN Ethiopia’s social media pages.

  • Help compile and update media contact lists.

  • Identify and research opportunities to share our work with relevant journalists and media outlets.

  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating interviews/photo/video shoots in the field.
    Assist in event planning and preparation.

  • Ensure PINs branding standards are applied consistently across all communication platforms
    General administrative and communications support as assigned by your supervisor.

    Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in in Communications, International Relations, Public Relations, Journalism and other related fields of study from a recognized higher education institution.

  • Female with zero years of work experience required.

  • Good command (spoken and written) of English and Amharic

  • Basic computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Paint)

  • Capable in organizing and structuring various tasks and responsibilities

  • Responds positively to feedback and differing points of views

  • Communicates effectively when working in teams and independently

  • Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive constructive attitude

  • Good interpersonal communication skills and knowledge of Accounting.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.
