PhD by Research Scholarships for Students

I am working as a Biology teacher at Tunas Muda International school in Indonesia. I have a bachelor degree in premedical Biology and Master in Business Administration.

Is it possible for me to keep my job while doing research to pursue Phd degree in Animal Science? I would like to do research on preservation of endangered species in Indonesia.

I am looking for a university in Europe; USA that offers long distance studies on this subject and grants to support these studies. Could you direct me if there is any oppurtunity to do this.
