Pharmaceutical Technologist Jobs at Archers Post Catholic Health Centre


Archers Post Catholic Health Centre is a faith-based organization under the Catholic Diocese of Maralal in Samburu county. Located along the Isiolo – Marsabit Highway.

The facility serves approximately 10,000 people.

It was opened in 1963 by the Franciscan auxiliary lay missionaries of Mary Immaculate FALMI, as a dispensary and later upgraded to a Health Centre with a bed capacity of 31.


Responsibilities


  • Organize medications for dispense.
  • Dispense drugs to patients.
  • Compute charges for medications dispensed and enter data.
  • Receive and store incoming supplies.
  • Inform the supervisor of stock needs and shortage.
  • Establish and maintain patients’ profiles, list of medication etc.
  • Maintain proper storage and security for drugs.
  • Answer calls, respond to questions and requests.
  • Offer pre and post pharmacy counseling.
  • Be responsible for timely monthly reports.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized pharmacy.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and protocol.
  • Perform related duties as assigned


    Requirements


  • A Degree/ Diploma in Pharmacy Technology from a recognized institution.
  • At least two years in a busy Pharmacy.
  • Excellent knowledge of Pharmacy operations and procedures.
  • Ability to write
    and review SOP’S.
  • Must be duly registered.
  • Very adept at handling drugs.
  • Highly disciplined.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good record management skills.
  • Must be a team player.
