Job Description

  • Ethiopian Pharmaceuticals Fund and supply agency (EPSA) would like to hire qualified candidates in Technical Assistant for Officer Program and External Relations position.

    Scope of work

  • Responsible in liaison the agency with governmental and professional Stakeholders
    Work offsite at various government and non-government offices to complete tasks, agreements and contracts pertaining the agency.


  • Set up important review meetings with higher various officials, board members and Branches and follow up the output of the meeting.

  • Represents the agency and the DG office in external meetings and promote the image of the agency.

  • Tracks communication and directions from the DG office and assist the chief of Staff in program delivery.

  • Managers all DG office Administrations and communications.

  • Develops proposals and Business case to improve relationship and develop transparent communication wit external stakeholders.

  • Establish Strong relationship with stakeholders and making sure all the directions are put in place.

  • Coordinate the staff and the Management in implementing reforms and other government initiatives.

  • Maps and addresses stakeholder needs and expectations.

  • Coordinate all agency visited (Hubs and Head Office) by externals and represent the agency on the visits.

  • Coordinate all communications of the DG office, Major agency events to PR Directorate and other relevant Directorates.

  • Prepare and provide monthly plans and progress reports on implementation status and manage timelines and scope of different Stakeholders.

  • Any other duties given the supervisor.
    Term of period:- One year with possible Extension.

    Job Requirements

    Competencies

    Essential

  • Working knowledge in public and/or sector and expertise in handling contract issues confidentially and share information to stakeholders on a need to know bases.

  • Ability to plan work assignments, jiggle competing demands and work under pressure of frequent and
    tight deadlines, and withminimal direction/supervision.

  • Excellent communication (spoken and written )skills, with the capability to articulate the project’s strategic goals into sound operating plans and processes, excellent written and oral advocacy and negotiations skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with senior-level officials, particularly interacting productively, proactively, and comfortably with government agencies and development partners.

  • High proficiency with computers in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, project management tools, and he internet. Advanced Knowledge of working with Internet based applications and languages.

    Desirable

  • Ability to lead and support teams.

  • Skilled in actively working in high-performing teams and independently deliver expected result.

  • Ability to travel as required to support the DG office activities.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical and financial documents.

    Educational Background

  • Has an advanced degree in business administration, leadership, communications, health-related fields and any other similar fields additional to formal education.

    Experience and requirements

    Essential

  • Experience in managing projects in systems strengthening and processes transformation.

  • At least 8 year experience in similar work in supply chain organization, Health Sector or other similar organization.

  • Experience in monitoring,reporting,development and coordination in either public or private sector organizations is asset.

  • Experience in team management and skills development.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent command of the Amharic and English language.
