Petroleum Authority of Uganda Technical Auditor Jobs

Job Summary

To perform Authority technical and operational audits identifying inadequate,
inefficient, or ineffective internal controls, issues of noncompliance and recommending improvements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

To examine correctness of records and completeness of documentation.

Preparation of audit working papers and documentation

Follow up of recommendations from previous audits

To draft and compile audit findings and conclusions

Examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation; recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure.

Assesses compliance with regulations and controls by executing audit program
steps examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.

Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications ,Skills and Experience

Basic Qualifications

An honours bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Geoscience or Petroleum Engineering obtained from an internationally recognised University

Added Advantage

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or ACCA and
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

Working Experience

Three (3) years’ experience in a relevant field in a similar corporate setting.

Character & Competencies

Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of; monitoring, planning engagements, data analysis, quality assurance

Excellent analytical skills

Innovative and with a proven high level of integrity

Excellent communication and report writing skills

Excellent Interpersonal skills
