Peoplelink Consultants Ltd Kitchen Steward Jobs in Kenya


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using industrial dishwashers or by hand, ensuring proper sanitation.

  • Clean kitchen, dining and food preparation areas regularly, including floors, countertops, equipment and surfaces.

  • Properly dispose of food waste, recycling materials and refuse; ensure trash bins are emptied regularly.

  • Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies and materials; inform management when stock levels are low.

  • Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and appliances; report malfunctions to the kitchen manager or chef.

  • Support cooking staff with tasks such as cutting vegetables and gathering supplies to facilitate meal preparation.

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and cleaning chemicals.

    Key Requirements

  • KCSE Certificate or equivalent qualification.

  • Certificate in Hospitality Management or Food Production is an added advantage.

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a similar role.

  • Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

  • Proficiency in handling and operating standard kitchen equipment.

  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
