Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all necessary data pertaining to the members is captured in the necessary databases with precision as and when it is received.
  • Generate reports on pensioners which is used to assess the health of the scheme, statistics and membership status.
  • Update the website to ensure all the information such as financial reports, actuarial valuation reports and other notices are posted in time for the pensioners.
  • Assist in running the pensioners' monthly payroll and ensure timely submission of data for payments.
  • Populate pensioner's data on the main databases to ensure easy accessibility
  • Generate, print and dispatch yearly pensioners' certificates of existence, pensioners and deferred members' statements and beneficiary forms accurately.
  • Troubleshoot computers, printers, networks and any other 1.7 machines to ensure they are in good working condition all the time
  • Perform daily backup of the server, weekly backup of all the Scheme's central information and monthly backup of all staff machines to ensure data is backed up adequately.
  • Ensure timely requisitions for computers, computer accessories and telecommunication equipment to facilitate easy execution of roles by all staff.
  • Keeping a register of all computer hardware, software and other accessories and periodically checking to ensure existence as well as replace faulty parts
  • Ensure all computer machines are regularly serviced and are always in good condition.
  • Setting up, testing and maintaining computer systems and other programs
    as well as Documenting and updating user instructions/manual for the programs.
  • Prepare inputs required for audit work, actuarial valuation and prepare progress reports in Claims processing Qualifications and Experience
  • University Graduate in a Computer Related Field
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows XP/7/8/10 and Windows Server 2012 or higher
  • Hands-on knowledge of PC based office systems
  • Ability to program in Visual Basic or VB. Net or any other latest programming language
  • Knowledge of Orade or SQL RDBMS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Desktop applications especially MS-Office
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Relevant experience in a pension related field and Fund master System will be an added advantage
