Penda Health Sonographer - Locum Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sonographer to join our team. The role involves delivering high‑quality diagnostic imaging services using ultrasound technology to support the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide imaging services to patients in line with established practice parameters and standards of care

  • Process, verify, and maintain patient information accurately

  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring readiness and accurate identification

  • Produce timely and accurate results following ultrasound SOPs and standards

  • Review test results for accuracy and consistency, correlating with patient conditions

  • Maintain records and filing systems for ultrasound information, equipment, and test results

  • Order and maintain department supplies, ensuring optimal resource utilization

  • Implement stock control procedures to ensure accountability

  • Conduct weekly and routine maintenance of ultrasound equipment

  • Adhere to safety and infection control policies at all times

  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Branch Manager in line with Penda Health services

  • Be flexible to conduct scans across various Penda Medical Centers

  • Uphold Penda’s Vision and Values in all duties

    Key Requirements & Attributes

  • Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography / Medical Imaging Sciences

  • Valid license to practice from the relevant regulatory or professional body

  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience as a Sonographer

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards

  • Computer literacy and ability to use medical imaging systems
