Penda Health Nurse Jobs in Kenya


Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive and high‑quality clinical services including patient assessment, triaging, MCH/FP procedures and IV/IM medication administration.

  • Ensure the Medical Centre is stocked with clean and sterile supplies for general and emergency cases.

  • Champion Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) by implementing best practices and Penda protocols.

  • Accurately record patient data in Penda’s electronic medical record in real‑time.

  • Complete Ministry of Health reporting requirements and ensure timely submission.

  • Provide patient education and excellent client experience.

  • Embrace evidence‑based medical systems in line with Penda protocols.

  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with medical advances.

  • Collaborate with the nurse officer in‑charge and branch manager to identify process improvements.

  • Undertake additional tasks assigned by management.

  • Be a supportive teammate, ensuring colleagues enjoy their work and collaborating effectively.

  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of healthcare delivery.

    Key Requirements & Attributes

  • Diploma in Nursing – KRCHN with valid practicing license from NCK.

  • Valid BLS certification (mandatory); ACLS is an added advantage.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy healthcare facility.

  • Demonstrated experience in MCH/FP.

  • Strong communication skills and excellent patient interaction abilities.

  • Ability to use electronic health records and digital health tools.
