Position Summary:

Pathfinder International Kenya is looking to recruit a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) officer, who will be tasked with program level monitoring and maintaining a database.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of vulnerable populations’ M&E activities, particularly ensuring that the program’s achievements against targets are collected and reported in line with the M&E reporting database and Data for Transparency and Impact (DATIM).
  • Assist in data management at all levels (Ward, local implementing partner LIP and program level) of the interventions in Mombasa County and populate the same in the Database.
  • Ensure data quality at site levels (Hospital Ward, LIP and health facility) by carrying out monthly routine data audit assessments and reviews.
  • Support in the training of Implementing Partners’ M&E teams, MOH and County stakeholders on data management, reporting tools and indicator definitions.
  • Provide weekly support supervision to implementing partners to ensure correct and timely entry of project achievements data.
  • Be the custodian of the interventions’ data collection tools and ensure availability of the same at all levels (Ward, health facility and LIPs) by conducting quarterly tool gap analysis and distributing tools.
  • Mentor staff and volunteers on project reporting requirements.
  • Participate in the implementing partners’ monthly review meetings.

    Qualifications

  • A University degree in Demography, Statistics, Health Records, Health Information management, Computer Science, Population
  • Studies or related field. A Masters’ degree will be an added advantage.
  • At least five (5) years working experience in a USAID/Centre for Disease Control (CDC) funded Program.
  • S/he will be a talented team player with ability to manage statistical packages including SPSS, EPI info or related systems/data bases.
  • He will be responsible for uploading the program level information to the President’s Emergency Fund for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and USAID system as guided by the M&E advisor.
  • S/he will ensure all the staff and volunteers have the requisite capacity to implement interventions accordingly.
  • Shall be responsible for data quality and data security including; client level information stored in files and cabinets.
  • Procurement of data related storage items and production and distribution of tools.
  • Development and sharing of data sets of use in decision making and presentations.

    Pathfinder International NGO Senior MNCH/FP Technical Advisor Jobs Vacancies in Kenya

    Position Summary

    The incumbent candidate will provide strategic direction and overall technical leadership for MNCH/FP related activities.

    Responsibilities

  • Design, implementation and monitoring of all MNCH/FP activities.
  • Lead activities related to identification of barriers to MNCH/FP service delivery and innovative approaches to address them.
  • Support program monitoring of technical quality of MNCH/FP activities.
  • Model a proactive, problem-solving attitude which encourages teamwork and fosters high motivation and enthusiasm with colleagues.
  • Mentor, support, supervise and manage a team of highly qualified staff and align their efforts in concert with the program goals.
  • Participate in and lead the development of work plans and implementation and other program deliverables.
  • Provide
    direct technical assistance (TA) and support to program counterparts, health facilities, in the areas of expertise including MNCH, FP/RH and Malaria.
  • Management and human capacity development and performance and Quality Improvement (QI).
  • Oversee the implementation of activities and interventions from a technical perspective, make adjustments to strategies based on lessons learnt from early implementation, and other field experiences.
  • Monitor program outputs and results related to team’s technical areas and work closely with the monitoring, evaluation and reporting (MER) team and program staff to ensure that results are documented and reported accurately.
  • Work jointly with the Service Delivery
  • Manager to coordinate planning and scheduling of activities with the relevant technical team leaders and technical advisors and ensure that logistical support is available for the smooth implementation of activities.
  • Facilitate the development of innovative program approaches and interventions.
    Support the development/review of strategies, including technical direction for achieving program goals as well as management effectiveness.
  • Use knowledge of best practices in MNCH, FP/RH and Malaria to direct strategic planning, implementation and evaluation.

    Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology; a Master’s in public health an added advantage.
  • At least eight (8) years’ experience providing hands-on technical assistance in MNCH/ RH/FP.
  • Extensive experience in public health management, training and capacity building.
  • Recent experience providing TA in MNCH services.
  • Implement and monitor policy standards, protocols and guidelines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and cross-cultural communications skills
  • Solid training and capacity building experience.
  • Ability to travel throughout Kenya for the satisfactory discharge of duties.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate the work of technical teams, as well as to work independently.

    Pathfinder International NGO Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Manager Jobs Vacancies in Kenya

    Position Summary

    Pathfinder International Kenya is seeking to recruit an Internal Auditor who shall be responsible for providing overall internal audit and compliance support for Pathfinder International’s Country Office and project offices in Kenya; as well as its sub-recipients.

    Responsibilities

  • Review Pathfinder International Kenya’s transactions for conformity with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Review accounting records for adequacy of documentation, safety and ease of availability.
  • Periodically visiting Pathfinder field offices to review accounting records and systems and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Review procurements and management of supplies and equipment to confirm adherence to organizational policies on procurement and contracts.
  • Review the adequacy of and provide recommendations on the internal control systems that safeguard the organization’s assets.
  • Carry out periodic spot checks on Pathfinder International Kenya sub-awards for compliance with sub-award agreements.
  • Review sub-recipient program and financial reporting compliance and internal report monitoring systems and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Design and implement a monitoring system to confirm that items reported by implementing partners (IPs) as distributed to beneficiaries have been received by beneficiaries (with evidence of receipts on file) within the reported periods.
  • Design and implement an appropriate monitoring schedule to verify the accuracy and validity of planned payees and training participants.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or its equivalent; a Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA);
  • Minimum of five (5) years internal audit experience in public, non-profit, or federal accounting is essential for this role
  • Experience with/knowledge of US Government rules and regulations, e.g. USAID, Centre of Disease Control (CDC), etc.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in systems compliance, legal, finance, audit or program management, including experience in executing organizational strategies, systems and processes.
  • Willingness to travel (50%) within the country;
