PATH is currently recruiting a Global Data and Analytics Manager to generate strategic information and real-time insights that help to shape our global health programs and our engagement with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The Global Data and Analytics Manager at PATH is responsible for managing data in Amp Impact, PATH’s results measurement system, and bringing this results data together with data from PATH’s financial and operational systems to drive strategic decision-making.

The Global Data Analytics Manager will apply their expertise in data transformation and analytics using tools such as Salesforce, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, and R to provide real-time insights that shape our global health programs. The Global Data Analytics Manager will also be expected to contribute to PATH’s work in the burgeoning AI space to ensure that PATH’s policies, system, and programmatic work is aligned with best practices on the ethical and effective use of AI. The Data and Analytics Manager will report to the Global Director, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning at PATH.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Development, Documentation, and Management of Best-in-Class Data Science/Analytical Workflows for Tracking PATH’s Impact (50%)

  • Oversee, the timely reporting, completeness, consistency, and accuracy of institutional results data in PATH’s Amp Impact system in collaboration with PATH Strategy Measurement team.

  • Monitor data trends to identify opportunities for improving the Amp Impact system and coordinate system enhancements through user feedback.

  • Develop and maintain clear and visually appealing data visualization tools and reports, including Power BI and Tableau dashboards, that bring together PATH’s results data with financial and operational data stored in other systems.

  • Conduct data analysis to identify patterns and generate actionable insights.

  • Work with IT, Finance, and Operations teams to develop integrations with business systems and extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes, ensuring compatibility & and usability of results data for analysis.

  • Work closely with PATH’s data steward to address data discrepancies and anomalies.

  • Provide guidance and training on data management and visualization best practices to the MEAL Community of Practice.

  • Ensure results data stored in Amp Impact comply with organizational data privacy and security policies.

  • Provide technical assistance to PATH’s programmatic teams, in partnership with the Centre for Data and Digital Excellence, on the data lifecycle (including use of relevant standards), analytical needs, and compliance (30%)

  • Collaborate with program leadership to identify data needs, establish data collection and reporting processes, and perform analysis to provide data-driven insights that
    inform global strategy and program decisions.

  • Support project teams with data management plans, including but not limited to, insights on how to design data collection, storage & security, processing, and analytical workflows to ensure effective use of information, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to prepare an institutional and programmatic data strategy, and operationalization plan.

  • Serve as a Thought-Leader for PATH, in Partnership with Operational & Programmatic Teams, on the Applications of Advanced Analytical Methods, including AI (20%)

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to prepare operational and programmatic visions for PATH’s engagement with AI and track the use of AI in PATH’s programmatic work

  • Continuously monitor, update and disseminate PATH policies, procedures, and guidance related to the governance and use of AI at PATH

  • Work with programmatic stakeholders, in partnership with PATH’s external affairs team, to prepare external communications highlighting and showcasing the use of AI at PATH

    Required Background, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data management, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field, or equivalent training

  • Experience designing & and operating automated ETL processes using, PowerBI, Python and R, SQL, and Tableau Prep Builder,

  • Proven 5 years of experience in data management, ETL processes, and data quality.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce reporting and analytics, including experience with Amp Impact

  • Demonstrated proficiency in data visualization and dashboard creation, including PowerBI and Tableau

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and programming languages such as SQL, Python and R

  • Expertise in data governance, data privacy, security, and relevant standards, as well as experience consulting with programmatic/subject-matter-specific teams to ensure compliance.

  • Knowledge of recent trends in data science, cutting-edge developments in the field of artificial intelligence and their respective applications in the health and development sectors.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • A self-starter with effective communication, relationship building and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
