Pamela Trust (PT) is a nonprofit organization founded on 1999 and dedicated to the realization of inclusive urban societies through promotion of access to land, shelter and socio-economic rights for the urban poor.

We take principled and pragmatic approaches to the protection and promotion of the right to the city through advocacy, social movement building and precedence setting models for realization of socio-economic rights.

PT has an annual budget of Ksh, 70 million and a staff of 15 who provide social technical and legal expertise at local community, national and international levels.

Our staff is dedicated and mandated to champion urban growth and urbanism that adheres to social justice principles, and to ensure that national and international human rights standards are implemented in favor of the most vulnerable of urban citizens.

The Trust seeks to appoint an Executive Director to give strategic direction and oversee the running of the organization for the next 8 years.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be a visionary and strategic leader who believes in the rights of urban poor populations and must demonstrate proven ability to effectively influence policymakers, promote solidarity, and inspire stakeholders

to advocate for equity and social justice

The candidate should be a holder of a masters degree In law or humanities

Have a minimum of 5 years experience in a management position in a non-profit organization and be skilled in advocacy,partnership building and fundraising.
