Outspan Hospital Laboratory Quality Assurance Officer Jobs in Kenya



Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hold valid registration/licensing with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).

  • Perform quality routine work including analysis, review and interpretation of IQC and EQA data.

  • Apply formal training in ISO 15189:2022 and internal auditing.

  • Demonstrate competence in root cause analysis, risk management and use of quality indicators.

  • Participate in KENAS accreditation, surveillance audits, internal audits or QMS implementation.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management applications.

  • Maintain accurate records, coordinate multiple quality activities, meet deadlines and follow up audits, nonconformities, corrective actions and improvement initiatives.

  • Operate laboratory equipment, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot and identify malfunctions.

  • Develop, review, revise, standardise, control and maintain laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
