Orchid HR Outsourcing Accountant/Finance Officer Jobs in Kenya; Our client seeks an Accountant / Finance Officer to manage payroll and statutory compliance, ensuring workers are paid accurately and on time while meeting all statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll for daily‑rate warehouse staff across Mombasa, Nairobi and Eldoret.

  • Calculate and apply PAYE, NSSF (Tier I & II), SHIF, Housing Levy and NITA levy correctly.

  • Prepare and submit monthly invoices to Clients by the 5th of each month.

  • File statutory returns via iTax, NSSF and SHIF portals; remit contributions on time.

  • Maintain payroll registers, payslips, ledgers and attendance records for audits.

  • Reconcile invoiced hours and headcounts against attendance registers.

  • Process timely payments to workers and issue payslips for each pay period.

  • Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, petty cash and supplier payments.

  • Support HR with grievance‑related pay queries; ensure compliance with Data Protection Act 2019.

  • Prepare financial data for Vendor Scorecard, KPI reporting and quarterly reviews.

  • Stay updated on payroll legislation, tax bands and statutory rates.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum CPA Part II or equivalent professional qualification.

  • 3+ years’ payroll and finance administration experience in labour outsourcing, logistics or manufacturing.

  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan statutory payroll requirements (NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy, NITA, PAYE, WIBA).

  • High proficiency in MS Excel and payroll/accounting software.

  • High attention to detail, integrity and confidentiality in handling payroll data.
