Options Consultancy Services Sustainability Lead Jobs in Kenya

We are seeking a highly-experienced individual with a particular focus in health financing and sustainability in sexual reproductive health/family planning in Kenya.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Delivering Equitable and Sustainable Increases in Family Planning in Kenya (DESIP) consortium members and the Options team, you will be responsible for leading the programme’s interventions to strengthen government stewardship for family planning (FP), acting as the focal person for engagement with national government, maintaining oversight over monitoring & evaluation (M&E) aspects and managing the Options team within DESIP to ensure high quality results.     Person specification:

    You will have:

  • A Master’s Degree in public health, health economics, health policy & planning, health management or a related field.
  • At least 12-15 years’ work experience, with significant experience in the provision of technical assistance for health.
  • A solid understanding of the Kenyan health sector, including devolution of the health sector and the relationship between national and county levels.
  • Work experience and knowledge of priority SRH/FP issues facing women and girls in Kenya.
  • Strong experience in health financing approaches, particularly health budget tracking and advocacy.
  • Considerable experience in leading the delivery of donor-funded programmes, particularly those funded by DFID.
  • Excellent diplomacy and influencing skills, with an ability to identify and act
    on opportunities to build buy-in and support among decision-makers.
  • Sound monitoring evaluation skills, including the design and delivery of logical frameworks.
