Position: Operations Logistics Manager

Industry: Manufacturing

Reports to: Operations Director

Location: Various regions in the country

Our client in manufacturing industry, is seeking to recruit Operations Logistics Manager.

This role drives Operational Excellence for Integrated Logistics Activities in Land Transport, Maritime, Aviation, Supply Base, Materials Management, Customs Compliance and Freight Forwarding, technical Authority for Lifting and hoisting operations, Infrastructure for logistics.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing safe, cost effective and efficient movement of people and material, throughout the hydrocarbon life cycle (Marine, Aviation, Land and Materials management). To implement logistics infrastructures (accommodation, offices and storage areas).
  • Functional Strategy and Strategic Planning – Develop an aligned Logistics Strategy and Functional Plan to support the business logistical need, securing production and ensuring project or campaign completion.
  • HSE Leadership – Provide visible HSE Leadership within the discipline and external work-force to ensure no leak, no harm to people, nor assets and ensure high reputation. Promote a strong safety culture to all staff and Logistics contractors.
  • Contract Management – Ensure Company interests are constantly protected throughout contract lifecycle and champion the relationship management between Company and Contactors through various interface and meetings.
  • Spend and Budget Management – Develop and own consolidated logistics Work Plan and Budget in accordance to finance protocol. Provide internal challenge and strong support to meet or exceed cost expectations set by the Company. Lead the
  • Logistics Budget and Forecast/Latest Estimates.
  • Review process and work to ensure prudent spend management.
  • Project Management – Represent and provide multi-Logistics work stream input and deliverables for any of customer’s projects and ensure compliance.
  • Performance Management – Develop and manage agreed discipline/functional performance measures around HSSE, effectiveness of resources, efficiency of logistics.
  • Responsible for implementing best practice and standards in line with the Operating Management System.
  • Ensure integration of tools and system for logistics (LOGIS database, ERP)


    Internal Responsibilities

  • In compliance with the Code of Ethics, the Internal Control System and company Regulatory System;
  • In line with defined strategies and eni Corporate Model;
  • In connection with, where requested, the relevant eni and company functions and in line with defined methodologies and directives.


    Staff Responsibilities

  • Direct Reports at present includes: Marine, Land Transport and Aviation Advisors,
    Base
    Management, Materials management and Infrastructures departments. Indirect subordinates and Contractors staff.


    Safety Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment. The Job Holder must provide leadership and example in HSE matter.


    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or experience in Logistics/ Supply Chain in Oil Field sector.
  • Training – Lifting and Hoisting Operations (LOGIS) – must have.
  • Training – Aviation course (LOGIS) an added advantage.


    Required competencies & Experience

  • Significant experience (10+ Years) in Operational Logistics and Exploration; setting strategy, risk and implementation mitigation actions, determining resource requirements, managing others and leading teams.
  • Experience in developing and managing multi-discipline project plans.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and track record of leading teams and delivery through others.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, contract management and HSSE investigations.
  • Deep level of knowledge in aviation, maritime, land transport and supply base.
  • Understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Understanding of materials management and warehousing principles.
  • Experience in developing and managing multi-discipline project plans.
  • Sound Financial Management understanding.
  • Effective communications skills
  • Experience in leading a multi-cultural team
  • Computer literate and knowledgeable of ERP systems (SAP or similar)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
