Our client is seeking a key Operations Manager to a key media company in Nairobi.
The successful candidate will be in charge of the overall operations effort in the organization geared towards achieving profitable transactions within the business.
The candidate is expected to be a strategic thinker who can create out of the solutions and has a burning desire to grow into senior leadership roles in the business.Coordinate all the operational activities to ensure timely delivery of our services as may be required by our clients from time to time.
Motivate, encourage and develop a strong team from the sub-contractors so that all are maximizing their ability and the team is working to a common shared goal of pushing the organisations brand higher.
Meet operational budgets with a strong desire to save costs so that profit targets are met which eventually will boost both the company and yourself.
Where you can, participate in building and expanding our client base considering that this is a managerial position where all under this level act as brand ambassadors.
Where directed and working with sub-contractors develop new sites to increase advertising network.
Foster the companies brand so that its value in the market is potentialized
Appropriate reporting to Director on all aspects of Sales and Marketing.
Personally grow your own horizons and equip yourself with skills so that you are able to contribute towards the growth of the company
The role will require a highly successful and target orientated media sales professional with flair and personality.
Bachelor’s degree in Business studies, Operations management or related field.
Proven track record in similar role or at the level of operations manager experience.
Good awareness of IT systems.
Experience of managing budgets/cost control, and planning, prioritizing and organizing work to meet targets.
Self-confident, decisive, resilient and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A lateral and innovative thinker, an original problem-solver.
Specialist knowledge of sales/marketing techniques, research and analysis.
Ability to manage budgets and control costs, and gather, interpret and make best use of data to increase sales.
Self –disciplined, with excellent time management skills, and flexible in order to achieve results.
Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to deal with people from diverse backgrounds.
A motivational team-leader focused on managing, coaching and developing the Sales team to achieve their full potential.
Ability to handle operations and management of a large volume sales center.
