One Acre Tupande Automation Engineering Lead Jobs in Kenya; Seeking an exceptional AI and automation engineering leader to build Tupande’s automation capability, lead high‑impact solutions, and help scale farmer impact through hands‑on engineering, business partnership, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Roadmap

  • Set and drive Tupande’s AI, automation, and engineering strategy.

  • Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities for technology to accelerate farmer impact.

  • Translate business needs into a clear automation and engineering roadmap.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend investments to improve efficiency and scalability.

    Solution Design & Delivery

  • Lead design and delivery of scalable AI, automation, and business solutions.

  • Guide architecture and engineering decisions balancing speed, quality, and sustainability.

  • Personally contribute to design, prototyping, and delivery of high‑priority initiatives.

  • Establish integration standards across enterprise systems, AI platforms, middleware, APIs, and third‑party technologies.

    Capability Building

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing engineering team.

  • Establish governance and performance standards (SOPs).

  • Build long‑term technical leadership pipelines through mentoring.

    Organizational Transformation

  • Champion adoption of automation, AI, and modern engineering practices.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.

  • Position Tupande as a leader in agricultural technology applications.

    Portfolio Stewardship

  • Monitor health, performance, and sustainability of engineering investments.

  • Manage technical, operational, and delivery risks.

  • Balance immediate priorities with long‑term strategic ambitions.

    External Awareness

  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies.

  • Build partnerships across One Acre Fund and external ecosystems.

  • Represent Tupande’s engineering priorities in strategic forums.

    Career Growth & Development

  • Weekly check‑ins with
    manager, mentorship, and training programs.

  • Career reviews every six months to align goals and aspirations.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge

  • Master’s degree in relevant technical field or Bachelor’s with certifications.
