'One Acre Fund Tupande Soko Avocado Oil Quality Assurance Senior Coordinator Jobs in Kenya; The Avocado Oil Quality Assurance Senior Coordinator will ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while leading a team of QA Officers and technicians. The role focuses on delivering consistent product quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across Tupande Soko’s avocado oil operations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement QA strategy, policies, and procedures.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to elevate product quality.

  • Set performance targets, monitor KPIs, and report results.

    Team Management

  • Manage and mentor QA Officers and laboratory staff.

  • Oversee scheduling, training, and performance management.

  • Ensure team efficiency and readiness with tools and training.

    Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with FSMS, HACCP, GMP, SHEQ, and environmental regulations.

  • Coordinate internal and external audits, prepare reports, and follow up on corrective actions.

  • Act as point of contact for quality and food safety inspections.

    Laboratory Oversight

  • Supervise testing processes (dry matter, oil quality, ripening, water, wastewater).

  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.

  • Review and validate test results, investigate deviations.

    Process & Product Quality Assurance

  • Monitor quality at critical control points across production stages.

  • Approve raw material intake, in‑process, and finished products.

  • Review QA reports and recommend CAPA actions.

    Facility Hygiene & Sanitation

  • Ensure cleaning schedules cover all production areas.

  • Approve cleaning chemicals and concentrations.

  • Supervise sanitation consumables and stock control.

    Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain QA documentation (test records, deviation logs, audit reports).

  • Compile weekly/monthly quality reports for management.

  • Drive root cause analysis and closure of non‑conformities.

    Food Safety & Waste Management

  • Champion food safety culture across the organization.

  • Supervise waste segregation, disposal, and environmental controls.

  • Ensure compliance in boiler water and wastewater testing.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Food Engineering, Microbiology, or related field.

  • 3–5 years’ QA experience in food manufacturing or agro‑processing.

  • Minimum 2 years in supervisory or management capacity.

  • Knowledge of food safety systems, environmental and occupational health standards.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

  • Teamwork champion with excellent time management.
