One Acre Fund Senior Product Manager Jobs in Rwanda; Senior Product Managers at this level operate primarily as “Owners” with a high degree of competency. They are responsible for the success of assigned personas and typically manage up to three country or global division relationships. They execute independently with minimal oversight, identifying specific customer needs and turning vision into reality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Discovery & User Insight: Lead discovery for assigned personas, identify edge cases, and translate vague user problems into technical specifications and tickets.

  • Strategy & Business Value (SROI): Independently understand Business Value Metrics (BVMs) and calculate Social Return on Investment (SROI) for features. Justify feature development using data.

  • Data Fluency: Define success metrics (KPIs) for features. Use analytics to diagnose performance issues and optimize user funnels.

  • Validation & Prototyping: Select prototyping methods (Figma, paper prototypes) to validate solutions. Scope features strictly to MVPs to minimize waste and maximize learning.

  • Delivery & Execution: Partner with Engineering to align feature scope with capacity. Manage dependencies with external teams to prevent blockers and ensure timely delivery.

  • Technical System Design: Maintain strong understanding of tech stack for features. Challenge engineering estimates and complexity assessments constructively.

  • Tooling Mastery: Act as a Power User of DragonBoat+Jira. Configure dashboards and boards to drive efficiency and manage complex backlogs.

    Qualifications

    Hard Skills

  • Strategic Analysis: Proficient in calculating SROI and using BVMs to justify product decisions.

  • Technical Product Management: Deep understanding of software development lifecycles and tech stacks.

  • Data Mastery: Expertise in defining KPIs and using analytics to optimize conversion funnels.

  • Tooling Proficiency: Power User of DragonBoat+Jira; capable of configuring complex workflows and dashboards.

  • Prototyping: Skilled in high‑fidelity (Figma) and low‑fidelity methods to validate hypotheses rapidly.

    Soft Skills

  • High Agency: Ability to “own the outcome” and drive results independently.

  • Stakeholder Influence: Strong negotiation skills; able to manage expectations and communicate prioritization trade‑offs.

  • Mentorship & Leadership: Ability to coach junior staff and foster accountability.

  • Problem Solving: Skilled at navigating ambiguity and identifying edge cases.

  • Relational Management: Capable of maintaining relationships across country and global divisions.

    Knowledge

  • Product Lifecycle: Understanding of Agile/Scrum basics to effectively support PM workflow.
