About This Role

Seeking a professional experienced in seed inspection, field and storage sampling, and phytosanitary checks to ensure compliant and high‑quality seed production.

Key Responsibilities

Seed Inspection & Sampling

  • Conduct seed inspections and sampling in fields and storage facilities.

  • Authorize or reject seed lots for further testing based on inspection findings.

  • Handle and document samples accurately for traceability.

  • Recommend corrective actions and follow up with production teams.

    Quality Assurance & Testing Support

  • Support quality assurance and testing activities.

  • Escalate critical quality issues affecting seed performance or compliance.

    Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Coordinate directly with field and laboratory teams to ensure standards are met.

  • Propose and implement improvements in inspection and sampling processes.

    Career Growth & Development

  • Weekly check‑ins with manager, mentorship, and training programmes.

  • Regular feedback and career reviews every six months.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Seed Science, Agriculture, Agroforestry, or related field.

  • Minimum 1 year of inspection and sampling experience.

  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

  • Knowledge of agronomic aspects of different crop seeds.

  • Understanding of seed inspection, sampling procedures, and certification systems.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

  • Basic knowledge of G‑Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.).

  • Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda.
