One Acre Fund Quantity Surveyor Lead Jobs in Rwanda;Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers across nine countries with farm supplies, credit, training and services. In Rwanda, operating under Tubura since 2007, the programme serves 2.8 million farmers and partners with government and agri‑SMEs. The Quantity Surveyor will manage $8M+ infrastructure projects at Rwanda Institute of Conservation Agriculture (RICA), ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Projects Cost Planning, Budget Control & Value Engineering

Own cost control and financial performance for RICA Seed Centre, bulk utilities supply and pivot irrigation projects.

Lead cost planning, estimation, forecasting and cost‑to‑complete assessments.

Quantity Surveying, Tendering & Commercial Management

Conduct market price surveys; engage suppliers to validate pricing and secure competitive rates.

Maintain commercial records; ensure compliance with contracts, procurement and regulations.

Construction Cost Monitoring & Implementation Oversight

Monitor expenditure, commitments, variations and forecasts; recommend corrective actions.

Coordinate material ordering and cost oversight with project teams.

Financial Reporting, Payments & Contract Reconciliation

Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, cost‑to‑complete projections and financial reports.

Review contractor/consultant payment claims; verify works and entitlements.

Inventory Control, Team Coordination & Compliance

Supervise Inventory Coordinator; ensure accurate material records and reconciliation.

Monitor receipts, issues, balances and usage records.

People & Stakeholder Management

Supervise Inventory Coordinator; provide guidance and accountability.

Collaborate with Project Manager, supervision team, procurement, contractors and suppliers.

Languages

Fluency in English required. Knowledge of French or Kinyarwanda an advantage.
