One Acre Fund Partnership and Development Lead Jobs in Zambia; This role serves as a senior agricultural expert and partnership lead, working with leadership on program strategy, strategic partnerships, and market development. The position reports to the Country Director and collaborates with global sourcing and government relations teams.

Responsibilities

Strategic Growth Partnerships

Identify and develop new partnership opportunities aligned with OAF Zambia’s integrated farm system model.

Manage partnership agreements, relations, and reporting.

Build and maintain relationships with local grant providers and internal business development teams.

Agricultural Strategy

Advise on crop diversification, product strategy, market dynamics, and regulatory shifts.

Conduct market scoping for higher-value crops (horticulture and tree crops).

Input Sourcing

Work with global sourcing team to ensure competitive seed and fertilizer procurement.

Build supplier relationships and identify hedging or forward-purchasing opportunities.

Support tree seed supply chain development with aggregators and government.

Government Relations

Manage government tender relationships and supply programs.

Represent OAF on industry bodies, associations, and forums.

Career Growth and Development

Weekly check-ins with manager, mentorship and training programs.

Regular performance feedback and career

reviews every six months.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Zambia’s agriculture sector.

Track record in sales, key accounts, business development, grant management, or off-take brokerage.

Farmer-facing background with demonstrated credibility.

Strong partnership-building experience across private sector, NGOs, or development partners.

Experience managing or influencing cross-functional teams.

Comfortable operating in high-paced, ambiguous environments.

Preferred

Existing relationships with government counterparts in agriculture, finance, or seed regulatory bodies.
