One Acre Fund Legal and Investigations Intern Jobs in Rwanda; We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented legal professional or recent LL.B graduate to gain hands‑on experience in legal research, investigations, evidence review, and professional drafting within a fast‑paced and dynamic operational environment. This internship offers exposure to case assessment, investigative support, legal analysis, and drafting, providing valuable experience for those pursuing a career in law, compliance, or humanitarian investigations.

Responsibilities

Case Assessment & Evidence Management

  • Support the review of new and ongoing cases to identify the nature of allegations, establish background context, and break down complex matters into clear investigative issues.

  • Review and organize case documents, records, and correspondence into structured, easy‑to‑analyze formats.

  • Proactively identify and highlight inconsistencies, missing information, or areas requiring further clarification within case files.

    Investigative Support & Documentation

  • Assist in drafting essential investigative tools, including interview questions, case summaries, and briefing notes.

  • Document interviews and key findings accurately to contribute to a coherent, objective factual record for each case.

  • Assist the team with day‑to‑day investigative and
    administrative tasks as assigned.

    Legal Research & Analysis

  • Conduct focused legal research on matters relevant to assigned cases.

  • Synthesize and summarize applicable legal principles in a clear, well‑structured manner.

  • Support the team in linking established facts to relevant legal issues under senior supervision.

    Drafting & Reporting

  • Prepare structured initial drafts of Investigation Plans, progress updates, final reports, and legal memoranda.

  • Participate actively in team discussions and revise drafts based on feedback to meet institutional standards.
