One Acre Fund Health Safety and Environment Supervisor Jobs in Kenya; The HSE Supervisor executes and enforces the Health, Safety, and Environment program at the biochar facility on a day‑to‑day basis. Working under the direction of the Controls, Health, and Safety Specialist, the role ensures compliance with Kenyan HSE regulations, runs inductions and toolbox talks, conducts site inspections and incident investigations, and supports Safety Marshals across shifts.
Key Responsibilities
HSE Program Execution
Implement and maintain HSE management system, risk registers, and emergency response plans.
Conduct safety audits, site inspections, and incident investigations; escalate findings to the Specialist.
Maintain HSE documentation, incident logs, CAPA records, and inspection reports.
Support regulatory submissions and responses to DOSH, NEMA, and county authorities.
Hazard Management
Execute HACCP implementation at shop‑floor level.
Support HACCP system documentation and audit preparation.
Train Production Supervisors and Lab Analysts on HACCP execution.
Safety Culture
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and emergency drills.
Support Safety Marshals across shifts.
Track and report training completion.
Cultivate a culture where employees feel empowered to stop unsafe work.
Environmental Compliance
Conduct environmental monitoring rounds (emissions, waste, water use, ash/biochar handling).
Maintain ambient air quality monitoring records and feed data into MRV pipeline.
Coordinate third‑party emissions and leakage testing.
Escalation Coordination
Escalate systemic HSE risks and incidents to the Specialist.
Coordinate with MRV Coordinator on HSE‑related documentation.
Coordinate
safety responsibilities across supervisors and casual labour.

Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as an HSE professional in industrial/manufacturing setting.
Certified HSE professional preferred (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of Kenya’s OSHA (2007) and NEMA regulations.
Proven experience implementing HACCP systems.
Strong communication and training facilitation skills.
