About the Role

Seeking an experienced MEL Manager to lead monitoring, evaluation, and learning across Uganda, Nigeria, and DRC programs, while owning systems and operations that enable the Global MEL team to deliver consistent, high‑quality evidence at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee MEL Across Country Programs

  • Manage Country MEL Leads in Uganda, Nigeria, and DRC.

  • Ensure survey design and roll‑out meet global standards.

  • Review analysis and oversee reporting with actionable recommendations.

  • Present MEL results in steering‑committee meetings.

  • Oversee MEL budgets and plans for efficiency and quality.

    Own Global MEL Systems & Operations

  • Develop SOPs, operational guidance, and team ways of working.

  • Select and roll out project‑management systems across regions.

  • Manage team knowledge systems
    and documentation.

  • Lead project and capacity planning, cross‑domain coordination.

    Build Onboarding & Capacity Building

  • Design onboarding and non‑technical training for new staff.

  • Establish systems and tools for smooth operations.

  • Maintain contingency and knowledge‑transfer plans.

    Contribute to Global MEL Strategy

  • Represent MEL in global forums (COP, Impact meet‑ups, MEL calls).

  • Lead global department‑improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications

  • Experience with quantitative/qualitative research, evaluations, data‑collection tools, statistical analysis, and reporting.

  • Mastery of experimental and quasi‑experimental designs (RCTs, PSM, DiD).

  • Proficiency in Stata and R.

  • Project management and process design skills.

  • Knowledge management expertise.

  • People management across multiple countries and time zones.
