One Acre Fund Conservation Agriculture Jobs in Rwanda;Lead conservation agriculture strategy, farmer training, and agronomic research to strengthen adoption of sustainable practices. Provide technical guidance, develop extension materials, and coordinate multi‑stakeholder projects to improve soil health, productivity and farmer livelihoods.

Responsibilities

Conservation Agriculture Strategy & Extension Development

  • Develop scalable advisory models in collaboration with field teams.

  • Design extension materials, manuals, visual guides and digital tools.

  • Translate technical concepts into practical curricula.

  • Adapt approaches based on climate, soil and farmer feedback.

    Farmer Training & Field Deployment

  • Provide technical guidance to field teams and Farmer Field Schools.

  • Build capacity of extension agents to promote adoption.

  • Troubleshoot crop, soil, pest and climate challenges.

  • Track adoption and farmer outcomes with MEL teams.

    Agronomic Research & Practice Optimization

  • Evaluate and refine practices to improve soil health and productivity.

  • Collaborate with R&D teams on field assessments.

  • Analyze evidence and farmer feedback to identify high‑impact practices.

  • Translate findings into recommendations and extension content.

    Partnership & Project Leadership

  • Build relationships with
    public, private, NGO and academic partners.

  • Coordinate project plans, deliverables and reporting.

  • Represent conservation agriculture program in technical discussions.

  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and resource mobilisation.

    Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agroecology, Crop Science or Soil Science.

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in conservation or regenerative agriculture.

  • Proven experience developing extension materials and leading farmer training.

  • Experience coordinating multi‑stakeholder projects.

  • Strong hands‑on experience with smallholder farmers.

  • Willingness to travel extensively and spend time in rural settings.

  • Proficiency in English required; additional languages an advantage.
