One Acre Fund Carbon Finance Manager Jobs in Kenya; Seeking an exceptional climate finance professional with 5+ years of experience to drive financial modelling and fundraising for agroforestry carbon pilots. The role will support development of cutting‑edge carbon projects that unlock impact for smallholder farmers while building expertise in blended finance strategies. Reports to the Carbon Finance Senior Manager.

Responsibilities

Financial Modelling & Analysis (40%)

  • Build, maintain, and stress‑test complex financial models (SPV and local project entities).

  • Analyze sensitivity scenarios to inform pricing strategies and risk management.

  • Support structural design and setup of a new carbon finance SPV.

    Fundraising & Partnerships (30%)

  • Support external fundraising and partnership efforts with carbon funders.

  • Manage dashboards and reporting systems (e.g., Salesforce) to monitor pipelines.

  • Identify and cultivate new prospects including impact investors and carbon buyers.

  • Develop pitch decks and investment memos articulating project value.

    Internal Coordination & Strategy (30%)

  • Interface with finance, legal, and impact teams to align budgets and fundraising models.

  • Liaise with grant fundraising teams to build a philanthropic pipeline.

  • Prepare leadership materials on fundraising progress and project financial health.

  • Collaborate with legal/compliance teams on term sheets and financing agreements.

  • Support administrative elements of carbon fund SPV development.

    Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ professional experience, with 3+ years in climate finance, project finance, or accounting.

  • 1+ years’ experience in One Acre Fund countries (Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania).

  • Demonstrated experience in the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) or project finance lifecycles.

  • Experience supporting fundraising rounds or managing donor/investor relationships.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling (Google Sheets/Excel), with ability to build dynamic models across jurisdictions.
