One Acre Fund Biofortified Variety Trials and Adoption Coordinator Jobs in Rwanda; The Biofortified Variety Trial & Adoption Coordinator will lead testing, evaluation, and promotion of biofortified maize varieties in Rwanda. The role combines field research, data management, and stakeholder engagement to generate evidence supporting release and adoption of improved maize varieties.

Responsibilities
Variety Performance Trials

Coordinate maize variety trials across research stations and farmer fields.

Monitor agronomic practices, trial performance, and data quality.

Organize field days and demonstration events for farmers, seed companies, and stakeholders.

Assess farmer interest, preferences, and acceptance of biofortified maize.

Collaborate with extension teams and partners to promote adoption of released varieties.

Farmer Perception & Data Management

Lead farmer preference and perception studies.

Oversee field operations from trial layout to harvesting.

Ensure compliance with research protocols, national regulations, and UPOV standards.

Manage accurate and timely data collection, validation, and storage.

Maintain organized databases for DUS and VCU trial data.

Reporting & Team Supervision

Produce seasonal and annual technical reports.

Supervise and guide technical staff and field laborers.

Promote a safe, collaborative, and high-performing

work environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Conservation Agriculture, or related field.

Strong knowledge of DUS and VCU trial standards and seed systems.

Experience in field trial management and agronomic research.

Proficiency in data collection, cleaning, and reporting tools (Excel, Fieldbook, Google Sheets).

Familiarity with conservation agriculture practices.
