To provide specialist equipment fault-finding, problem solving and KPI management of equipment reliability

All activities, roles and responsibilities are aligned to the world class (manufacturing) philosophy, principles and practices

Qualifications

  • N6 or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation and Process Control)

  • BTech in Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation and Process Control) would be an added advantage

  • Trade Specific Artisan (Red Seal)

  • Relevant DeltaV Implementation and Maintenance Training (Executive Portal, AMS, Reporting and DeltaV Analysis)

  • Siemans S7 Training

    Experience
  • 5-10 Years’ Experience in a Maintenance Environment as a Technician

  • Minimum 10 years Emerson DeltaV experience

  • Siemans S7 PLC Experience

  • Plant/Manufacturing Instrumentation experience (Maintenance and Interface to DeltaV and PLC Systems)

  • Asset Care Experience

    Duties

  • OHS Act Compliance:

  • Ensure Statutory compliance

  • Responsible for MTTR & MTBF analysis:

  • Identify problematic equipment

  • Determine AM & PPM focus areas

  • Review Work Order & Schedule Compliance

  • Review Resource Utilisation

  • Review critical, PPM & AM spares lists

  • Review and analyse 5-Why analysis

  • Advance problem solving and collaboration with Reliability Engineer

  • Participate in root cause analysis investigation

  • Execution of reliability improvement projects

    DeltaV Management:

  • DeltaV Project Management

  • Service Level Support and DeltaV System Auditing.

  • DeltaV Cyber Security Implementation and Management.

  • DeltaV Virtualization (Configuration
    and Maintenance)

    Budget Control / Cost Management:

  • Approve purchase orders within certain cost limit

  • Obtain quotations from external service providers

    5S:
