Old Mutual Kenya Provider Relations Officer - Health Jobs



Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Strategic purchasing – continuous engagement with providers to ensure provision of high‑quality, cost‑effective care.

  • Patient experience monitoring – ongoing monitoring of patient feedback from providers to guarantee excellent patient experience.

  • Provider network management – maintain updated provider panel, monitor adequacy of providers in key regions, and conduct provider audits.

  • Provider relationship management – organize service meetings, train providers on Old Mutual processes, obtain feedback, and share relevant reports.

  • Provider contracting – coordinate contracting of providers and manage the provider contract lifecycle.

  • Customer service support – attend client service meetings to ensure superior customer experience.

  • Perform any other duty assigned by management.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.

  • Extensive networking with service providers and other medical insurers.

  • Strong analytical and monitoring skills.

  • Good decision‑making skills.

  • High level of integrity and honesty.

    Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a busy hospital setting.

  • Prior relevant experience in health insurance preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of public and private healthcare providers in Kenya.

  • Any insurance certification will be an added advantage.
