Old Mutual Kenya Faulu MFB - Business Growth and Development Manager - Kiambu Branch Jobs;Work closely with the Area Manager to formulate and implement overall business strategy for the branch. Assess opportunities to grow quality portfolio, drive digital and agency banking adoption, and Bancassurance. Manage the branch, lead staff, Ignite Associates, and Sales Consultants in implementing growth and development strategies. Aggressively drive branch growth and profitability through client acquisition, retention, and strong relationship management.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Branch Strategic Alignment

  • Develop and implement branch business initiatives and turnaround strategies aligned to Faulu’s growth objectives.

    Business Growth & Development

  • Lead business growth of the branch, agencies, and alternative service outlets.

  • Drive sales of products and services through leadership, motivation, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Initiate and nurture profitable customer and community partnerships.

  • Grow quality branch portfolio (assets and liabilities) to achieve income and growth targets.

  • Ensure customer growth and retention through recruitment, onboarding, cross‑selling, and relationship management.

    Brand Visibility & Marketing

  • Adopt strategic marketing to build competitive advantage.

  • Promote Faulu’s brand visibility and image through community engagement.

  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development teams to review and improve products.

  • Position Faulu as a Trader’s Bank through consistent messaging.

  • Ensure proper allocation and display of merchandising materials.

    Leadership & People Management

  • Manage and lead branch team to achieve business targets.

  • Develop high‑performing teams through training, mentorship, and succession planning.

  • Oversee HR functions at branch level in consultation with Human Capital.

  • Track staff participation in personal development programs.

  • Enhance staff motivation and engagement through recognition initiatives.

    Cost Management

  • Optimize utilization of people, financial, and technical resources.

  • Plan budgets and evaluate branch financial performance against targets.

    Relationship Management, Customer Service & Retention

  • Provide superior customer relationship management and promote retention culture.

    Branch Operations

  • Ensure compliance with CBK requirements for branch operations.

  • Oversee health, safety, and security procedures.

  • Ensure adherence to branch cash limits and regulator guidelines.

    Audit, Risk & Compliance

  • Chair Branch Credit Committee and ensure compliance with credit policies.

  • Monitor compliance with company policies, processes, and controls.

  • Enhance controls for high‑quality lending.

  • Ensure compliance with CBK guidelines, OHS, and ESM policies.

    Skills, Knowledge & Competencies

  • Business strategy implementation skills.

  • Presentation and people management skills.

  • Sales/marketing and financial analytical skills.

  • Customer service, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong relationship management skills.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.

  • MBA/Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience, with at least 3 years in managerial roles.

  • Experience in lending/credit and financial institutions.
