Job Description

This role is focused on developing young CA’s and analytics talent from entry level graduate to young future leaders. This individual will ensure the day to day running of both programmes as well as ensuring CA training programme regulatory compliance with SAICA. This individual will tailor learning paths to develop young talent holistically.

Key Result Areas

  • Develops and facilitates rotation plans for trainees

  • Manages performance and development of trainees

  • Manages Quarterly assessments

  • Manage all Admin and support processes to comply with periodic external assessments

  • Oversees the budget for the programme
    Facilitates relevant programme Committees across the business

  • Works closely with the training officer to ensure a successful and complaint training programme

  • Engage external regulatory bodies to ensure alignment of this CA training programme

  • Evaluates and updates the trainees’ salary model annually to manage trainee remuneration within the model. Ensure salary benchmarks are influence salary model

  • Develops and implements the Recruitment & Selection strategy for trainee’s and other graduate programme

  • Manages bursary students where applicable (Post Graduate students)

  • Builds the talent brand of the programme through social media campaigns, via career expo's, regional school visits, networking forums

  • Influence culture of the programme through teambuilding initiatives, socials, one on one meetings, liaison with Senior Executives to promote interaction with trainees

  • Ensures attraction and retention of Black Talent on programme

  • Continue to develop and grow the OM Financial Engineering Programme

  • Review programmes and course correct based on feedback and success

    Requirements

  • Relevant undergraduate degree

  • 6 – 8 years’ relevant experience in developing young talent, specifically CA trainees

  • Knowledge of SAICA’s qualification framework

  • Experience working with the TCMS system preferred

  • Experience managing teams in similar programs would be a distinct advantage

  • Report writing and facilitation skills

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Stakeholder management at various levels

  • Delivery driven at an appropriate quality level as well as timeously

  • Capacity to work under pressure/ multitask and meet deadlines.

  • Have the ability to influence
