Job Description

The role is responsible for the preparation of financial and management reports, provision of interpretation of financial data and predictive results and implementation of accounting processes, systems and controls.

Strong support to the Management Accountant, Financial manager and broader reporting team

Provide financial analysis, commentary and support throughout the value chain, which spans distribution, administration, product management and group reporting.

Produces ongoing and ad-hoc reporting based on requirements from the business unit, Central Finance and other stakeholders.

Responsible for HFM submissions including applicable Central Finance reporting requirements.

Support projects such as the implementation of new IFRS standards

Submission of Regulatory Reporting (SAM) quarterly

Assist with the Fees budgeting process during the Annual Budgets

Assist with maintaining a strong financial control environment.

Work effectively within a team, whilst balancing own priorities

Be flexible and responsive to changes in the business that impact financial processes and reporting.

Work to strict deadlines

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required :

Matric

Tertiary finance qualification required.

Minimum of 3 years finance experience in the insurance industry

Oracle and HFM knowledge is preferable.

IFRS standards knowledge is preferable.

Attention to detail.

MS Office with solid excel skills.

Strong information monitoring and analytical skills

Stakeholder management & excellent communication skills required.
