Job Vacancy:
  • Dealer Development Manager

    Our client in Oil industry is looking for a business development manager who will appoint dealers in weak areas /non represented areas, high potential areas, depending upon market size so as to increase market share in those towns up to national/ country level.

    Appointment of network through ground recce, scouting, visiting the towns & meeting key potential people based upon select criteria vetting the prospects and selecting the right candidates.

    Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan for Kenya mapping of competition and enhance company network
  • Identification of targets markets based upon market share, potential to non-representation.
  • Understanding the potential / market size of town by visiting dealers.
  • Understanding / analysis of town in terms of geography, population, income group, main source of income, current set up etc.
  • Once analysis, identify the town by visiting key people i.e property agents to know rental/ own property set up calculation
  • Once identification done of area, viability (ROI) parameters need to be checked.
  • Newspaper advertisement can be planned for appointment of new dealer / cold calling need to be done depending upon area / territory taking advantage of local known connections and ancillary or
    even different industry contacts
  • Identification of suitable party finalization by knowing his current set up / business, financials, local market influence, space shop finalization.
  • Once appointed as dealer, hand holding on all elements of opening the showroom for first 3 months

    Qualifications
  • Local Manager / person should have extensive knowledge network, channel relationship across automobile, FMCG, hardware, fuel stations, telecom
  • Must have a degree in a well-recognized institution
  • Have 10 years’ experience in related industry
    Non Local Channel Development Executives
  • Person should have extensive knowledge network, channel relationship across automobile,
  • FMCG, hardware, fuel stations, telecom
  • Previous work experience in a related industry is mandatory
  • At least 4 years’ experience
