Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights National Driver Jobs in Kenya; The Driver is responsible for safely transporting clients and goods, adhering to deadlines, and maintaining high safety standards. The role requires professionalism, courtesy, compliance with regulations, and proper vehicle maintenance. Drivers must ensure accurate documentation, optimize routes, address issues effectively, and gather feedback for service improvements.

Expected Duration
3 months

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive office vehicles safely for transport of authorized personnel, observing protocol during official missions.

  • Make regular deliveries of parcels, documents, and goods between UN offices, ministries, embassies, and missions.

  • Conduct minor purchases and collect urgent supplies; handle customs formalities and payments when required.

  • Meet official personnel at the airport and facilitate immigration and customs procedures.

  • Maintain professionalism when dealing with officials and visitors.

  • Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks (oil, water, battery, brakes, tires); arrange repairs and keep vehicles clean.

  • Maintain logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and servicing.

  • Follow UN rules in case of accidents.

  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports for information sharing and decision‑making.

  • Support visualizations and updates of information materials (web pages, brochures).

  • Perform other tasks when not driving, including maintaining stores and distributing mail.

  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications / Special Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a driver with a safe record.

  • Experience driving various vehicles including vans and motorized vehicles.

  • 1 year or more of experience in data analytics desirable.

    Languages

  • Fluency in oral and written English required.

  • Knowledge of French or another UN language is an advantage.
