Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality control inspections of well materials (such as casing, tubing, valves, cement, chemicals, etc.) before and during well construction, ensuring they meet required specifications and standards.

  • Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to identify defects, flaws, and inconsistencies in well materials.

  • Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to ensure materials are sourced from reputable suppliers and adhere to defined quality standards.

  • Develop and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and material certifications.

  • Create and implement preservation plans to protect well materials from corrosion, degradation, and damage during storage and transportation.

  • Monitor and document environmental conditions in storage facilities to ensure optimal preservation of materials.

  • Collaborate with drilling, completions, and production teams to provide technical expertise related to well materials quality and preservation.

  • Participate in root cause analysis investigations for material failures and recommend corrective actions.

  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to well materials, QA/QC, and preservation.

  • Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance the understanding of QA/QC and preservation practices among team members.

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Applied Sciences required.

  • Must be able to present a competence profile showing relevant experience in Deepwater offshore rig

  • Valid BOSIET/HUET certificate

  • Experience in materials QA/QC and preservation within the oil and gas industry is highly advantageous.

  • Proficiency in relevant standards and
    regulations (API, ASTM, ISO) related to well materials and preservation.

  • Strong analytical skills to identify material defects and deviations from specifications.

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and regulatory authorities.

  • Attention to detail and a systematic approach to inspections and preservation procedures.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge of NDT techniques and equipment used for material testing.
