Oasis Healthcare Management Consultancy Limited Clinical Officer-Oncology Jobs in Kenya; The Clinical Officer Oncology will assist in diagnosing, planning, and administering cancer treatments while closely monitoring patient progress.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct detailed medical histories and physical exams focused on oncology cases.

2. Assist in diagnostic procedures, including biopsies and imaging studies, in collaboration
with the Medical Oncologist.

3. Stage cancer and develop initial assessments to aid in treatment planning.

4. Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology-related treatments under
protocols and supervision.

5. Monitor treatment responses, side effects, and adjust treatment regimens where
necessary, in consultation with the Medical Oncologist.

6. Offer comprehensive education to patients and their families regarding cancer, treatment
options, and what to expect during the treatment process.

7. Guide patients through coping mechanisms and psychosocial support to help manage
emotional stress related to cancer diagnosis and treatment.

8. Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring timely follow-ups, lab tests,
and imaging to track patient progress.

9. Coordinate referrals for specialized care or advanced diagnostic tests as required.

10. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, palliative care
teams, surgeons, Oncologists and radiologists, to optimize patient care.

11. Assist in the management of patients receiving palliative care, focusing on improving
quality of life through symptom control.

12. Participate in public health awareness campaigns and outreach programs to sensitize
communities on cancer related issues.

13. Support research initiatives and clinical trials related to cancer treatments.

Qualifications

1. Degree or Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery

2. Higher National Diploma in Clinical Oncology and Palliative Care

3. Valid Professional Practicing License from the Clinical Officers’ Counci
