Nyeri County - Chairperson – County Public Service Board - Jobs in Kenya

The County Government of Nyeri wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions in the County Public Service Board:

  • Chairperson

    Requirements for appointment
  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Be a holder of at least a first degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
  • Should not be a serving public or state officer:
  • Working experience of not less than ten (10) years; and
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution:
  • Experience at senior management level or previous Board membership will be an added advantage.

    Duties and Responsibilities
  • Chairing Board meetings;
  • Ensuring the Board functions effectively;
  • Establishing agenda for Board meetings in consultation with the Board Secretary;
  • Ensuring implementation of Board decisions;
  • Be the spokesperson for the Board;
  • Duties as stipulated in the County Governments Act;
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the Board.
